Anouk, a midwife and masseur from Belgium, asked me to design a very simple website where 'greens' and 'earth tones' would predominate. Her logo had to depict hands and a reference to India.

Ik voel me altijd een beetje ongemakkelijk als ik word uitgenodigd voor de opening van een kunstexpositie. Het begint er al mee dat ik geen idee heb wat ik aan moet trekken. Bij aankomst in de Beurs van Berlage zag ik een vrouw haar zwarte pumps verruilen voor knalrode exemplaren die ze uit haar merktas viste. Daarna had ze zichtbaar moeite met het letterlijk op de been komen, maar ‘dressed’, dat was ze!

WORK ~ Artisan Home, a company based in Drenthe that focuses on the sale of furniture imported from India, wanted to send both a digital and printed mailing with the latest news. A transparent envelope with a see-through autumn image, a matching sealing sticker. I chose colorful but faded roses. A transition to a new season.

Did I ever tell you my favorite color is green? I often use the color in my designs, my most worn sweater is green, I like to wander for hours in the woods among trees in all shades of green, I prepare a lot of this color on my daily plate and it will not surprise you that I am not very disappointed if not all my tomatoes turn red or orange. Because yes, then I just make .... Indian green tomato chutney!
